"AD 242"

It has become a good tradition for 15 years in a row, library staff LL Angarskaya, GG Zhulinskaya, teachers MN Besarab, VM Burlaka in the walls of the Agricultural College of Uman NUS to hold poetic events dedicated to the World Poetry Day, which is celebrated on March 21.
So this year, as part of the decade of global disciplines, in the reading room of the library was a literary and artistic educational event "AD 242".
Svitlana Ivanivna Myronyuk, the mother of the deceased cyborg Andriy Myronnyuk, a graduate of our college, which presented its collection of poems "Floating duck on the Tisza. My mother, don't scold me … ", dedicated to my son.
Employees of the library told the audience about the heroic defense of Donetsk airport, which became a symbol of steadfastness and courage of the Ukrainian military, which lasted 242 days: from May 26, 2014 to January 22, 2015. For 242 days, Ukrainian servicemen, volunteers, medics, and volunteers resisted the onslaught of Russian occupation forces and pro-Russian militants, fiercely defending a tiny piece of Ukrainian land.
Together with Andriy Myronyuk, the audience remembered all the guys who died during the anti-terrorist operation – graduates of our college and honored their memory with a moment of silence.
Andriy Myronyuk from 1990 -1994 studied at the Uman College of Agricultural Mechanization. His teacher was Valentina Nikolaevna Szeged, who spoke touchingly about Andrew's student years, his hobbies and preferences.
Mykola Nykyforovych Besarab addressed the students and stressed their understanding of the unity and integrity of Ukraine and its multinational people. He called for the desire to live in Ukraine, respect for the history, culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people. He presented collections of poetry published by teachers, students and staff of the college.
Taking the opportunity that Svitlana Ivanivna visited the college, the audience was introduced to her paintings, which she recently began to write, and which inspired her and the events of 2014 and the works of her son Andrew.
The computer presentation was prepared by Volodymyr Mykolayovych Burlaka, he also presented Andriy Myronyuk's book "Caucasus UA".
