St. Andrew's party

St. Andrew's party

St. Andrew's Day is a holiday that begins a series of winter divinations and preparations for the New Year and Christmas celebrations. It is celebrated on December 13 and has long been called Kalita.

Ukrainians have long had fun on this day, because the holiday of Kalita is one of the happiest winter holidays. Young people gathered together, prepared treats and arranged entertainment.

Our students also decided to bring back to life this beautiful but forgotten tradition.

December 12, 2019 in the dormitory of VSP Agrotechnical College of UNUS educators Yaremenko OI, Lugovskaya LP, Barchuk OO together with the board of the dormitory, a merry theatrical performance was held – St. Andrew's party. The event had an interesting entertainment program: the boys were happy to bite the kalyta, the girls were fortune-tellers, guests were treated to delicious dumplings and pies.
