International Volunteer Day is celebrated all over the world on December 5. Ukraine is the only country in the world where this day turns into the Armed Forces Day, which is celebrated on December 6. The volunteer movement has become popular in our country since the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian occupation. Volunteering is not a job, but a vocation. It is a way of life and thinking. Indifference to the plight of others, involvement and empathy – this is what leads volunteers forward.
The staff of the volunteer service of students of VSP Agrotechnical College of UNUS headed by Shimanska Elena Vladimirovna is known for good and useful deeds not only within the walls of our educational institution, but also far beyond it. That is why Uman City Council, the mayor at a festive meeting dedicated to the Volunteer Day marked our volunteer service as one of the best.
