Photos of memory

The final chord of a kind of literary triptych was the book "Photos of Memory". The first was "Echoes of the Afghan Mountains", then – "In the crucible of local wars" and now – "Photos of memory". Because time is increasingly distancing us from the events of Afghanistan, and the memory continues to live – dense, reliable and bright. This book is about those who are forever united by the iconic date of February 15 and it is not only about former warriors tested by the hell of the Afghan sun, but also about their mothers – real Ukrainian Madonnas. They waited, hoped, with their faith and love, prayers and pure tears in the distance protected their sons from enemy bullets. Another feature of the publication is its collective 30-year-old hero – the Uman City District Union of Afghanistan Veterans, which for decades has been teaching former "Afghans" to help each other in difficulties, to overcome bureaucratic indifference in finding a just solution to urgent problems. The authors of the last book are OV Zaichenko, VM Ustinova, VA Kozytska.
