For the fifth year in a row, Ukraine is celebrating the anniversary of a significant date for our Motherland. November 13, 2014 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in order to establish the ideals of freedom and democracy in Ukraine, preserve and convey to present and future generations objective information about the fateful events in Ukraine at the beginning of the XXI century, and pay tribute to patriotism and courage autumn 2004, November 2013 – February 2014 stood in defense of democratic values, rights and freedoms of man and citizen, national interests of our country and its European choice signed a decree on the celebration every year on November 21 Day of dignity and freedom.
Therefore, on November 21, 2018, in honor of this significant event for the entire Ukrainian people, teachers Bulakh II and Szymanska OV held an open educational event with students of the K-36 and C-35 groups : "Revolution of Dignity:" We did not disgrace the glory of our ancestors, we gave new Heroes to heaven. "
The events of February 2014 will forever remain a bloody wound in the soul of the Ukrainian people. Attack by special forces on barricades of protesters and aunts' pogroms on January 21, confrontation on Hrushevskoho Street on January 22, deaths of Serhiy Nihoyan, Mykhailo Zhyznevsky, Yuri Verbytsky, seizure of administrations, rallies in support of Euromaidan in most regions of Ukraine, final and most dramatic stage of revolution in Kyiv On February 20, about a hundred protesters and several hundred injured became a turning point in the Eurorevolution, which changed the consciousness of Ukrainians forever.
What was the Revolution of Dignity for Ukraine? First of all, a test of the value of human personality, a measure of humanity and dignity. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are united by the desire for truth. Truth, which would be the basis of state, public, private life. The people rebelled against lies, corruption, and abuse of people's will. And once again he won this battle, because no one will be able to break us!
During the open event, students, teachers and invited guests recalled the events of the most difficult winter for Ukraine in the history of our independence, listened to poems by Ulyana Dubinina "On peaceful students with batons? ..", Igor Starenky "You ask:" What is the price of freedom? ", Lyudmila Udovenko "Ukraine"; watched a video for the popular song "Warriors of Light", which in Ukraine became one of the anthems of Euromaidan, video "And a hundred have met the heavens…", watched and listened to the song-video "I hate war!", "Come back alive", "White Swans" ».
The heroes of the Maidan and the soldiers-defenders of Ukraine, our compatriots-defenders who died for the bright future of Ukraine, were honored by a moment of silence.
At the end of the event, all present in honor of the fifth anniversary of the Day of Dignity and Freedom in Ukraine and, honoring the memory of college graduates, patriots who died defending the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, laid flowers to the memorial plaque installed at our college and inaugurated a year ago.
Undoubtedly, very little time will pass and books will be written about the defenders of our state, movies will be made, on the examples of selfless service to the homeland, unquestioning fulfillment of the sacred duty – to defend the state borders when there is an urgent need. generation of Ukrainians. Because they are real heroes who in an unequal duel opposed their patriotism, responsibility, boundless love for the country, which they identify with their homeland, the dearest people. And that is why our human gratitude and low bow to them.
Celebrating the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, we create a story that we write together. You are a part of the people. Without you, without all of us, there is no nation or history. And you create a new history of the state, which will take its rightful place among the free and equal countries of the planet.
