League of Professions
"Choose a profession – choose the future" is the leitmotif of the regional career guidance event for schoolchildren, which took place on November 18 in the Separate structural unit of the Agricultural College of Uman National University of Horticulture, as part of the "Graduate 2020" campaign. The initiators of the League of Professions were: the Department of Education and Science of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, the Cherkasy Regional Employment Center, the Education Department of the Uman City Council, the Uman City Employment Center. The purpose of the interactive event was to bring in a playful way to a balanced, independent choice of professional activity, to form psychological readiness for professional self-determination of graduates, to develop and consolidate the orientation of high school students in the world of professions.
The teams competed for the victory: Uman NEC № 17 "Secondary school of I-III degrees – preschool educational institution", Dmytrushkivska secondary school of I-III degrees of Uman district council, Ivankiv secondary school of I-III degrees of Ivankiv village council, basic institution of general secondary education "Monastyryshche specialized school of I-III degrees №5", Sinitska secondary school I-III degrees of Khrystynivka district council. All teams successfully revealed the features of different professions, in competitive and game form motivated the choice of the future. The jury recognized the students of Monastyryshche School, who will continue to compete in the finals of the League of Professions, as the most creative in presenting the world of professions.
The college welcomed guests with an atmosphere of friendliness and positivity. The guests joined the thematic quiz, lottery, tasted sweets, got acquainted with the school, received information materials about the areas of training and specialties. From the stage, the head of the student council Ihor Savchuk had the opportunity to talk to high school students, telling about promising professions that can be mastered by entering college. In confirmation of his words, he showed a short video tour of the school.
